एक दिन किसी कारण से स्कूल में छुट्टी की घोषणा होने के कारण, एक दर्जी का बेटा, अपने पापा की दुकान पर चला गया ।वहाँ जाकर वह बड़े ध्यान से अपने पापा को काम करते हुए देखने लगा । उसने देखा कि उसके पापा कैंची से कपड़े को काटते हैं और कैंची को पैर के पास टांग से दबा कर रख देते हैं । फिर सुई से उसको सीते हैं और सीने के बाद सु ई को अपनी टोपी पर लगा लेते हैं । जब उसने इसी क्रिया को चार-पाँच बार देखा तो उससे रहा नहीं गया, तो उसने अपने पापा से कहा कि वह एक बात उनसे पूछना चाहता है ? पापा ने कहा- बेटा बोलो क्या पूछना चाहते हो ? बेटा बोला- पापा मैं बड़ी देर से आपको देख रहा हूं , आप जब भी कपड़ा काटते हैं, उसके बाद कैंची को पैर के नीचे दबा देते हैं, और सुई से कपड़ा सीने के बाद, उसे टोपी पर लगा लेते हैं, ऐसा क्यों ? इसका जो उत्तर पापा ने दिया- उन दो पंक्तियाँ में मानों उसने ज़िन्दगी का सार समझा दिया ।
उत्तर था- ” बेटा, कैंची काटने का काम करती है, और सुई जोड़ने का काम करती है, और काटने वाले की जगह हमेशा नीची होती है परन्तु जोड़ने वाले की जगह हमेशा ऊपर होती है । यही कारण है कि मैं सुई को टोपी पर लगाता हूं और कैंची को पैर के नीचे रखता हूं

New Delhi: Uttar Pradesh has invited companies to bid for contracts to build 300 megawatts of solar photovoltaic capacity. Companies must submit their bids by 8 September, the Uttar Pradesh New and Renewable Energy Development Agency said in a notice on its website. Separately, the agency is planning another auction of 20 megawatts aimed at developers seeking smaller projects of less than 5 megawatts, Namrata Kalra, a project officer at the agency, said by phone on Wednesday. The northern state targets building 500 megawatts of photovoltaic capacity by 2017 under a state solar policy released last year. It has signed power purchase agreements with six developers, including Moser Baer India Ltd and Azure Power India Pvt., for 130 megawatts of capacity, agreeing to buy photovoltaic power at tariffs ranging from Rs.8,001 rupees ($133) a megawatt-hour to Rs.9,330 rupees, according to the agency. Uttar Pradesh is also negotiating forming a venture with state-run hydro-power generator NHPC Ltd to set up 50 megawatts of solar capacity

Facing flak for the long outages owing to acute shortage of power supply, the Akhilesh Yadav government is now looking to the sun to light up more and more homes in Uttar Pradesh.

As a first step, the government is planning to introduce “Rooftop Solar Policy”. It has also begun the process of promoting establishment of 300 mw solar Photovoltaic (PV) Power projects in the state and has floated the tenders for the same.

During peak hours in summer, Uttar Pradesh faces a shortage of 1000 mw to 3000 mw power. Sources said that the state government is targetting at least 1000mw in solar power generation before the 2017 Assembly elections.

As per the draft “Rooftop Solar Policy” prepared by the government, the target is to ensure generation of at least 20mw of power through rooftop solar segments on private as well as public sector buildings.

While the government will fund the setting up solar PV system on public sector buildings, the private owners of the rooftop solar plants will be provided with the “Net Energy Metering” facility. Under the facility, the owner would be able to sell excess power to the grid, which will be credited into his account. The owner will get a similar amount of power from the grid, in case the energy generated by solar plant is not enough to meet the needs.

A special meter would track this energy exchange to help consumer get uninterrupted power supply. The consumer would have to pay only for any additional energy used from the grid. Also, he will get an incentive for supplying the extra power to the grid.

While the proposed policy is under consideration, the state government has already floated tender for establishing 300 mw of additional Solar (PV) Power Projects though competitive bidding system. The government has invited tenders for establishment of these projects, where a single party can bid for establishment of 5mw to maximum of 100 mw project. In this case, state government would sign a 12-year power purchase agreement 3with the bidder on the pre-defined rates.

The response of the private owners in this case would be known on July 31, when the state government has called the first pre-bid meeting.

Hulimavu was previously known as Amarapura, which came under the administration of Saarakeya (present day: Sarakki). Apparently Amarapura was derived from the word Amra or Amru which translates to Mango or Sourness. Over years the name has evolved to its present name Hulimavu which in Kannada literally means "sour mango". 

Among Shri Raghavendra Mutt in Hulimavu, other famous temples are Sri Kodandarama Swamy, Sathyanarayana and Saibaba temple.

Inside the premises of Raghavendra swamy mutt, Viswaroopa Venkateswara shrine is built.

Triplicane, also known as Thiruvallikeni, is one of the oldest neighbourhoods of Chennai, India. It is situated on the Bay of Bengal coast and about 0.5 km (0.31 mi) from Fort St George. The average elevation of the neighbourhood is 14 metres above sea level.

Although Parthasarathy Temple remains the most important temple of Triplicane, there exists indeed several other temples in the neighbourhood, that includes Raghavendra Temple and Mutt on T.P Koil Street.
